Community Service

Helping Family Caregivers for Elderly Loved Ones
through HelpingYouCare® (.com and .org)

As a community Service, through Care-Help LLC, Constance R. “Connie” Barnhart has been working, with the advice of medical professionals and the help of a dedicated group of volunteers, to develop and maintain a website dedicated to helping family caregivers meet the challenges of caring for aging parents and senior loved ones that we all face as our population ages.

The site, HelpingYouCare® (.com and .org), has as its mission to provide a comprehensive news, information and educational resource for family caregivers caring for seniors, and to contribute news, information and suggestions for the improvement of our health-care and long-term care systems. The site includes daily news, in-depth articles, videos, classes, checklists, practical tools & tips, and supportive resources for caregivers, on virtually all aspects of senior care and caregiver self-care, health, wellness, legal and financial issues, home health care, care facilities, and other topics of concern to family caregivers. In addition, the site provides online support groups, finder tools to locate senior care resources, news & information on technology and equipment for senior care, and other resources to help family caregivers, as well as news and information on health care reform and legislation, with commentary to contribute suggestions for the improvement of our health-care and long-term care systems from both experts and family caregivers.

Connie Barnhart with her Husband David Koontz
and her Mother Margaret R. Barnhart,
to whom HelpingYouCare® is dedicated

Connie’s passion and commitment to helping in this area grew out of her own learning experiences in caring for her beloved Mother, who passed away in 2009 at the age of nearly 94.

HelpingYouCare® is dedicated in honor and loving memory of Connie’s Mother, Margaret R. Barnhart, who was very supportive and encouraging of this community service project, and who exemplified caregiving and humanitarian service to those in need.

Please visit HelpingYouCare®.
